Position Summary:

Please note, the candidate for this role will need to be in Brazil.


MSL is a field-based scientific expert focused on developing and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships with key medical experts and healthcare professionals. This role will primarily support the company Acromegaly program. The MSL will collaborate with physicians and other medical experts to support trial enrollment, provide programming and protocol training and ensure that health care professionals have the most up to date information as the clinical development programs mature and conduit for external scientific engagement and internal strategic alignment, contributing to evidence generation, medical education, and cross-functional support. The MSL supports the generation of scientific knowledge through facilitation of investigator-initiated trials and publications.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

These may include but are not limited to:


* Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with KOLs community
* Provide scientific support for pre-launch initiatives, including medical congresses, advisory boards, and educational events.
* Tactical delivery of programs according to established objectives and serves as a resource for education and dissemination of pertinent, clear, and balanced medical-scientific information to internal audiences (Marketing, Medical Affairs, Research & Development and Sales) and external audiences (healthcare professionals, consumers, patient organizations, distributors, etc.)
* Support clinical development initiatives including site identification, trial recruitment, registry, and presentation of final approved data
* Collaborating with physicians on medical affairs initiatives including publications, advisory boards, medical education opportunities, training, and speaker development
* Serve as scientific peer-to-peer resource to external disease experts and internal stakeholders
* Support the medical community with up-to-date medical information, robust disease expertise, and product information
* Communicate clinical insights on new data to the company Medical Affairs and to inform medical strategy for the therapeutic area
* Train internal stakeholders on key scientific and medical topics in relevant therapeutic areas.
* Develop an understanding of the regional landscape including specialties involved in care of patients -
* Maintain effective and appropriate communication among internal stakeholders while maintaining full compliance with relevant requirements
* Generate tactical regional plans to provide needs based, value-added support of the medical and scientific community in-line with company goals
* Uses systems to strategically map, identify, profile and prioritize thought leaders in line with the medical plan and goals
* Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of MSL activities.


Education:

Required:

* Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, or other medical related disciplines.
* Advanced degree preferred.



Requirements:


* 12 years of professional experience,
* At least 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs or Medical Science roles.
* Robust and current clinical development experience supporting drugs to treat rare diseases;
prior endocrinology diseases experience, preferred.
* MSL and/or strong scientific experience in endocrinology, and specifically growth hormone-related disorders, preferred.
* Pre-launch experience is highly preferred.
* Excellent written, oral, communication, leadership and organizational skills.
* Solid interpersonal and communication skills;
demonstrated relationship builder. Ability to work well across teams to communicate relevant insights and drive strategy.
* Candidates must understand compliance considerations and demonstrate ability to work compliantly in a field-based role, within the medical organization, as well as across the commercial organization.


Travel:

Up to 70%. Willingness to travel extensively across the region, including nights/weekends.
