Role Overview
We are looking for a Video Editor with strong experience creating engaging short-form content for personal brands and social media platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who understands internet culture, pacing, storytelling, and performance-driven editing — someone who can create content that feels native to platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts while maintaining a polished and elevated visual style.
The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, has strong creative instincts, knows how to source and incorporate stock footage effectively, and is comfortable working in a fast-moving content environment.
Experience with UGC-style editing, green screen content, captions, and light motion graphics is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
* Edit engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
* Create high-performing social media content aligned with the brand’s visual identity and tone
* Source and incorporate stock videos, images, sound effects, and supporting visual assets
* Edit talking-head and UGC-style content with strong pacing and storytelling
* Add captions, transitions, green screen effects, and light motion graphics when needed
* Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to execute creative concepts
* Maintain consistency across social content and campaigns
* Manage multiple editing projects with fast turnaround times
* Optimize content for engagement, retention, and platform performance
* Stay up to date with social media editing trends, formats, and viral content styles
* Incorporate AI tools and workflow optimizations into the editing process when relevant
Qualifications
Must-Have
* 3+ years of experience in video editing for social media or digital brands
* Strong portfolio showcasing short-form content, personal brands, or UGC-style editing
* Experience editing for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
* Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, storytelling, and engagement-driven editing
* Experience sourcing and integrating stock footage and visual assets
* Proficiency with Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing tools
* Experience with captions, green screen editing, and light motion graphics
* Strong visual taste and understanding of modern social content aesthetics
* Ability to work independently and manage projects autonomously
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Strong written and spoken English
* Ability to work in a fast-paced content environment and meet deadlines consistently
* Interest in AI tools and creative workflow optimization
Nice-to-Have
* Experience working with wellness, health, fitness, or lifestyle brands
* Experience editing content for founders, creators, or personal brands
