Seeking a consultant to support the development of a risk communication toolkit and course in Brazil. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a social behavior change officer, coordinating with emergency specialists and RCCE specialists.
The consultancy involves producing a toolkit and course on risk communication and community engagement for public managers involved in emergency preparedness and response in Brazil. Key tasks include mapping existing materials, developing a comprehensive message matrix, creating a child-centered RCCE course, testing key messages and draft materials, and producing final materials for the toolkit.
Key Responsibilities
* Map UNICEF's existing materials and tools since 2018 and organize them in an online repository.
* Develop a comprehensive matrix with child-centered key messages by emergency type for each of the five UNICEF Goal Areas.
* Create an 8-hour training course including at least one practical co-construction exercise.
* Conduct pretesting of key messages and draft materials with affected populations and local partners.
* Produce final materials for the toolkit, including posters, card series, flyers, and radio scripts.
Requirements
* A university degree in social and behavioral sciences or related field.
* At least 4 years of professional experience in RCCE, CwC, SBC, C4D or related areas.
* Knowledge of children's rights issues is an asset.
* Ability to manage relationships with partners, including government counterparts and communities.
