The Role
* Edit short-form social media videos using existing assets optimized for engagement and virality across social platforms (Meta as the priority platform)
* Review creative briefs to align editing style, pacing, and effects with brand/influencer goals
* Analyze existing creator content to ensure consistency in style, tone, and branding
* Implement best practices for retention, such as dynamic pacing, jump cuts, engaging captions, and sound design
* Incorporate motion graphics, text overlays, and effects to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement
* Manage video revisions based on feedback while maintaining quick turnaround times
* Organize and maintain a library of video assets, templates, and project files
Requirements
* 3+ years of video editing experience (at least 2 years specific to social media video editing)
* Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, or similar)
* Experience with Asana or similar project management tools to manage briefs, stakeholder communication, etc.
* Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and storytelling tailored to digital audiences
* Ability to adapt editing styles based on different creators and audience preferences
* Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines
* Passion for social media trends and digital content creation
* Willingness to support miscellaneous marketing tasks based on client needs (no more than 25% of role) - client will provide training for non-video editing tasks
* Recent graveyard shift experience and willingness to work on a US time zone
* Comfortable using a time-tracker tool during shifts (Hubstaff for productivity tracking and payroll purposes)

* Experience with AI tools (Descript, Adobe Enhance, etc.)
* Experience with MockRocket, Screen.Studio, or similar software
* Understanding of social media algorithms and engagement strategies for video content
* Experience with digital media, Meta (Facebook / Instagram), and Ads Manager
