Kaspersky is looking for an intern to assist with cybersecurity research and other activities.
Our ideal candidate will be a great technical resource who has enrolled in a Computer Science or Cybersecurity course at an accredited university. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and you will be involved in various research projects and learn firsthand how to properly analyze malware, reverse engineer software, and understand threat intelligence.
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and share their research with our team. The successful candidate will support our research projects, develop processes, define priorities, follow deadlines, deliver material, and share it with the right teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement research projects
* Analyze and understand malware threats
* Communicate with clients about adding detections
* Participate in the development of unit's recommended practices and standards
* Suggest ideas to be implemented in company products
* Create content on malicious programs and threat intelligence reports
* Presentation skills to wide audiences
* Monitoring and analysis of malware trends
Requirements:
* Enrolled in a Computer Science or Cybersecurity course at an accredited university
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
* Strong desire to learn and share research
* Knowledge of x86/x64 Intel Assembly and IDA Disassembler
* Executable file analysis skills in a hexadecimal editor
* Deep knowledge in several fields including mobile device security, statistical analysis, and methods of protection against threats
* Ability to analyze and understand malicious code and Linux OS distributions
* Some experience in programming languages such as Python, C#, C, and C++
* Fluency in English is Mandatory

* Good communication skills to work with developers, analysts, researchers, marketing, PR, sales, etc.
* Good presentation skills
* Technical article writing skills
* Experience in developing tools and documentation for other researchers
