We're hiring on behalf of a mission-driven healthcare technology nonprofit whose platform has reached tens of millions of patients in low-income communities across the US. They're growing the team that builds the SaaS product hundreds of safety-net clinics rely on every day to manage patients and run patient engagement programs.
This is a senior IC role with shared team-lead responsibilities - owning complex full-stack features end-to-end, mentoring mid-level engineers, and shaping architecture across a Rails monolith and React SPA.

What You'll Own
* Driving the technical direction of key Applications platform features
* Shipping full-stack work end-to-end: API → data model → UI
* Mentoring L2 engineers and leading technical design discussions
* Contributing to architectural decisions across the monolith and SPA
* Sharing on-call duties and helping evolve engineering standards
What We're Looking For
* 8+ years full-stack experience, with deep Rails + modern React fluency
* A track record of owning complex features from design through production
* Advanced SQL and a genuinely analytical, evidence-led mindset
* Proven ability to mentor and influence technical direction
* Excellent async communication — this is a fully distributed team
* Real excitement about mission-driven work
Bonus Points
* Healthcare tech, social services, or other practitioner-facing domains
* Multi-tenant data models, RBAC, accessibility-aware UI
* Experience scaling a Rails monolith with a React SPA frontend
