Business Controller Location Recife Region (Cabo de Santo Agostinho), Pernambuco – Brazil Position Overview Petra Group is supporting a confidential international industrial client in the search for a Business Controller to be based in the Northeast region of Brazil. This position combines financial leadership with exposure to payroll and operational support, requiring a hands-on professional capable of operating in a structured yet evolving environment, with strong interaction across finance, operations, and HR. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Lead monthly closing and ensure accuracy of financial statements. Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards (IFRS/US GAAP). Maintain internal controls and support audit processes. Oversee tax compliance (ICMS, PIS/COFINS, among others). Act as a business partner to improve financial performance and working capital. Manage ERP systems and reporting tools. Interface with global finance teams. Payroll & Workforce Cost Management Coordinate payroll processes and ensure accuracy and compliance. Manage payroll accounting, reconciliations, and reporting. Monitor workforce costs and support financial planning. Act as a key interface between Finance and HR. Operational Excellence & Compliance Drive process improvements across finance and HR-related activities. Ensure compliance with company policies and Brazilian legislation. Support workforce analytics and reporting. Requisitos Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Solid experience in finance/accounting roles, preferably in multinational environments. Exposure to payroll and HR operations. Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax and labor regulations. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Fluent English is mandatory.
