Risk Management Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework that covers credit, market, liquidity, operational, and technology risks.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in financial or prudential risk management. You will have the chance to work on complex risk assessments, stress testing, scenario analysis, and capital adequacy evaluations.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Developing and maintaining a risk management framework that aligns with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
* Conducting regular risk assessments, including stress testing and scenario analysis, to identify potential threats to the organization.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective risk mitigation strategies are in place.
* Liaising with internal and external auditors, regulators, and governance committees to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial or prudential risk management, preferably within financial institutions, fintechs, or crypto/virtual asset firms.
* Strong knowledge of Central Bank of Brazil risk management regulations, capital adequacy standards, and VASP disclosure requirements.
* Expertise in market and liquidity risk frameworks, stress testing, and margin-account operations involving virtual assets.
* Fluency in English, as well as strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
* A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field; postgraduate qualification preferred.
