The next phase is about consolidating this progress and expanding its reach and influence.Poised to become the leading voice of conservative environmentalism in Brazil, Morada Comum is uniquely positioned to connect communities, civic leaders, and partners around a shared vision for protecting the Brazil's natural heritage while promoting the common good.Reporting to Our Common Home’s Global Management Team, you will oversee a senior team of seven, guide strategy, and build strong partnerships with civic organizations, government, and local communities. The role calls for a leader who can balance vision with execution—shaping long-term priorities while ensuring effective delivery through a capable team.You will manage campaign and program budgets, measure results, and make the decisions needed to ensure accountability and impact. This position suits someone who enjoys building organizations, coaching senior staff, and achieving results through collaboration and partnership.Core ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & AdvocacyDefine and manage the long-term strategic direction of Morada Comum in Brazil, aligned with OCH’s global mission.Ensure initiatives reflect local community needs and priorities.Team Leadership & ManagementLead a team of senior staff, fostering accountability, collaboration, and a high-performance, mission-driven culture.Delegate program and operational execution while maintaining strategic oversight.Partnerships & Stakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain relationships with civic organizations, community leaders, media, and government partners.Leverage partnerships to increase Morada Comum’s visibility and impact.Fundraising & Resource DevelopmentLead strategy for securing financial sustainability through donors and partners.Oversee major proposals and funding initiatives prepared by the team.Program Oversight & DeliveryEnsure programs and initiatives are effectively executed and monitored.Support the team in evaluating and adjusting strategies as needed.Oversee organizational budgets, ensuring responsible financial management.Additional ResponsibilitiesOccasional hands-on involvement in program delivery or civic engagement activities.Daily administration, finance, and communications handled by senior staff or OCH’s global support team.Candidate ProfileYou may have led or helped build a nonprofit, civic association, policy institute, community initiative, or political campaign. Typical backgrounds might include:Executive Director or Director of Programs or Public Policy in a national organization.Chief of Staff, Senior Advisor, or Head of Strategy, Partnerships, or Institutional Development.Campaign or Civic Initiative Director guiding engagement and consensus-building.Community or Network Director strengthening participation and cooperation.Key qualifications and experience:Setting long-term strategic direction and priorities.Leading senior teams to deliver complex programs.Building partnerships with civic leaders, NGOs, government, or communities.Designing or executing advocacy campaigns or public initiatives.Strengthening community voice, representation, or leadership.Strong fundraising and resource development skills.Strategic and political acumen to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.Ability to mentor senior staff while maintaining oversight of impact.Fluency in Portuguese and good English.Additional competencies:Clear and persuasive communication with diverse audiences.Strong prioritization and delegation skills.Confident and responsible financial stewardship.What we offerCompetitive SalaryChance to build an organisation
