Job Description
Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on a full-time basis. Only 3x times per week (Tue-Thu).
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
* Work with research institutes to design, implement, monitor, and gather insights from consumer research in South America, and communicate customer feedback to local, regional, and global stakeholders to drive improved business results.
* Develop clear, concise, engaging written reports and presentations fully integrated across relevant sources, following a compelling storytelling approach.
* Provide internal clients with guidance from multiple research and market sources to enable product design aligned with customer desires, primarily at early stages of the global product development process.
* Consult with internal clients to identify areas where the customer voice can inform decisions.
* Synthesize existing research and data to identify common threads, new insights, and emerging trends.
* Effectively socialize insights across relevant organizations and leadership forums (Engineering, Marketing, Planning, Design).
* Present a professional image through productive collaboration, thoughtful participation in meetings, polished presentation skills, and well-crafted writing.
* Develop quantitative questionnaires and qualitative discussion guides. Consult with internal clients to frame objectives for primary research and apply appropriate methodologies to fulfill the goal.
* Coordinate research projects and suppliers from start to finish, adhering to time and budget targets.
* Create purchasing processes required for studies and track their completion; facilitate funding decisions for studies.
* Keep track of new market research methodologies to foster innovation in the team.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
* Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, or related field.
* Experience and enthusiasm for the auto industry.
* English (mandatory)
* Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* Familiarity with statistical concepts and applications to research methodologies.
* Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies including Conjoint and Max Diff.
* Knowledge of the South America consumer market (or Planning) and the automotive industry.
* Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present confidently to senior leadership as well as small and large audiences.
* Ability to develop and communicate insights in a storytelling format that increases its stickiness.
* A passion for the customer.
* Intellectual curiosity, analytical patience, willingness to develop an idea into an insight through iteration and synthesis.
* A collaborative, client-service orientation.
* Ability to work in a complex and ambiguous environment.
* Marketing and communication fundamentals.
* Appreciation and understanding of market research, analysis methodology, and basic statistics is an advantage.
* Ability to deal with complex and ambiguous situations.
* Willingness to ask questions, take initiative, and be resourceful.
* Demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative, challenging team environment.
* Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, especially synthesizing large data sets into concise, actionable insights.
