Role and Responsibilities
Americas Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying and recruiting the best talent into IBM. You will be part of a newly created scrum team working to support all business units across the Americas market playing a critical role in filling senior positions.
Alongside the scrum team, you’ll partner with client groups, designing creative sourcing strategies to recruit top talent, and managing the hiring processes from initiating searches through offer acceptance. There is a strong emphasis on influencing and driving decisions by data. In addition to recruitment delivery, you will work closely with local Talent Acquisition (TA) colleagues—Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM), Regional Talent Acquisition Leader (RTAL)—to support, drive, and enable service transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Full life‑cycle sourcing for the committed requisitions
Lead and participate in Strategic Sourcing Briefing Call to determine sprint commitment and planning sourcing strategy
Accountable for the delivery of sprint commitments, including identifying and resolving obstacles, raising issues as necessary, and seeking continuous improvement
Leverage data from LinkedIn Talent Insights and SmashFly scorecard to deliver on the KPIs
Adopt and utilize AgileTA related tools
Strive to provide a best‑in‑class candidate and recruitment experience
Develop and maintain a (passive) top candidate pipeline and continuously develop new sourcing channels across various countries
Adhere to IBM recruiting process and policies, building regional knowledge
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Proven experience as a sourcer or in a similar role, preferably in an information technology fast‑paced environment
Familiarity with sourcing strategies and tools (e.g., AI, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, GitHub, X‑Ray search)
Strong networking and relationship‑building skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Detail‑oriented with a focus on delivering high‑quality results
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Fluent English (verbal and written)
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Fluent Spanish and/or French
