Podcast Audio Editor Role
This role involves editing podcast audio files to enhance sound quality, implementing sound design, adding music and ensuring overall quality control for each episode. The ideal candidate should have the ability to edit raw podcast audio into polished, broadcast-ready episodes.
* Edit podcast audio to remove filler words, false starts, redundancies and off-topic tangents.
* Improve pacing, clarity and flow without changing the speaker's voice or intent.
* Restructure sections when needed based on how questions were answered.
* Insert intro/outro, sponsor reads, disclaimers, or updates when required.
* Follow embedded audio notes and written instructions carefully.
* Deliver clean final WAV/MP3 files on deadline.
* Produce short clips per episode for marketing use.
* Support up to two rounds of edits per episode when requested.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality edited podcast episodes within a tight timeframe. They will work closely with the production team to ensure all requirements are met.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
