Data Annotator & Content Moderator (Review & Labeling)
Innodata Inc. is expanding its AI and Machine Learning Talent Network and needs detail‐oriented professionals to join us as data annotators and content moderators.
* Work Mode : Remote
* Engagement Type : Contract 1–3 Months
* Daily Commitment : 5–6 hours
* Pay Rate : $5 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Review, label, and moderate online content (may include sensitive material).
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and overall quality.
* Build AI training datasets for next‐generation systems.
* Provide feedback and insights to enhance ongoing processes.
Requirements
* High School Graduate (or higher).
* Strong command of English (written and verbal).
* Excellent analytical and communication skills.
* Comfortable working with diverse content types.
* Access to a private, secure workspace with stable internet.
Evaluation Process
Candidates will complete linguistic and analytical assessments, including an LLM evaluation test and an English proficiency test (C1/C2 level). Camera and location must remain on throughout the assessment.
Successful candidates will be eligible for onboarding and background verification.
Video Data Annotator – First‐Person (Egocentric) Video Understanding
This precision‐driven role analyzes first‐person video clips and provides accurate, evidence‐based answers at specific timestamps to train vision‐language models.
* Review first‐person video clips and analyze visual content at specific timestamps.
* Provide accurate, concise, evidence‐based answers grounded in visible information.
* Identify and select exact visual evidence supporting each answer.
* Determine whether a question is valid or unanswerable based on available video content.
* Avoid using future frames or external assumptions.
* Maintain high consistency and accuracy across large volumes of tasks.
* Adhere to project guidelines, formatting, and quality standards.
* Perform self‐review to ensure alignment between question, evidence, and answer.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Strong attention to detail and ability to spot subtle visual differences.
* Excellent observational and visual interpretation skills.
* Clear and concise written communication.
* Strong reading comprehension and understanding of nuanced questions.
* Critical thinking and logical reasoning (sequence, counting, spatial awareness).
* Maintain objectivity and avoid assumptions beyond visible data.
* High focus and consistency in repetitive, detail‐heavy tasks.
* Strong ownership and accountability for quality of work.
* Self‐driven with proactive quality‐check mindset.
Preferred Backgrounds
* Experience in data annotation, data labeling, or content moderation.
* Exposure to image/video annotation or computer vision projects.
* Background in QA, quality assurance, or analytical roles.
* Familiarity with AI/ML data workflows is a plus.
* Commitments: 40 hours per week with at least 4 hours PST overlap.
* Employment type: Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave).
* Duration: 4 weeks (expected start next week).
AI Data Annotation Specialist – Freelance / Project‐Based
This role involves annotating and reviewing text‐based data for global AI and Large Language Model (LLM) projects.
* Annotate and review text‐based data following detailed project guidelines.
* Perform language‐centric tasks such as classification, evaluation, and reasoning.
* Maintain high accuracy, consistency, and quality standards.
* Meet defined productivity benchmarks within project timelines.
* Flag unclear or ambiguous data per escalation guidelines.
* Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data security requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Excellent English and Portuguese proficiency (written and spoken).
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Comfortable working independently in a remote/project‐based setup.
* Basic computer literacy and familiarity with online tools.
* Prior experience in data annotation, content review, or similar roles is a plus.
