What you'll do We're looking for a Senior Android Developer to help scale Clara's Android experience and shape the future of financial software in Latin America. You'll be a technical expert on the Mobile Engineering – Android team, setting best practices, delivering high-impact features, and mentoring fellow developers. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver fast, secure, and delightful mobile experiences. In this role, you will: Drive Clara's Android technical roadmap in collaboration with Engineering leadership. Architect modular, reusable components using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android libraries. Lead development initiatives of new product features while improving app reliability, performance, and maintainability. Promote and uphold high engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship. Contribute to hiring and onboarding as we scale the Android team. Advocate for a product-driven, quality-focused mobile engineering culture. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Must haves 7+ years of professional Android development experience, including 2+ years in a senior or technical leadership role. Deep expertise with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture). Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Hilt or Dagger. Familiarity with performance tuning, crash reporting, and CI/CD pipelines. Working proficiency in English and Spanish. Strong communication skills and a track record of mentoring or coaching engineers. Nice to haves Experience working in a fintech or other highly regulated industry. Knowledge of CI/CD, A/B testing frameworks, and analytics integration in Android apps. Interest in leveraging AI tools to automate development workflows.
