On a daily basis, you will:
* Utilize AI tools to streamline finance tasks, including Datev and Excel.
* Manage fiscal year closings and coordinate with external auditors.
* Ensure compliance with German payroll and tax laws.
* Deliver reliable results while meeting deadlines.
* Function independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Communicate effectively, using the BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) method.
* Anticipate potential issues and act proactively to address them.
The basics you bring along:
* Fluency in German (C1) and solid English skills.
* 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting role, ideally in an international SME.
* Deep knowledge of Datev and German payroll/tax law.
* Work well within a team and have a fun-to-work-with attitude.
* Act with honesty and openly admit mistakes.
* Stay calm under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
* Pay great attention to detail in all your tasks.
* Demonstrate a structured and process-minded approach to your work.
