On LANs, WANs, WLANs, SDWANs, it is responsible for addressing, switches, routers, WiFi related devices, AD, DNS, NPM, Firewalls, CDNs, Balancers, NFV.
In the WAN he is responsible for private networks and the Internet, and assists in the adoption of monitoring and data collection tools in the network.
Supports carrier trunking with the local network, and participates in complex Network Setups.Engineer or Technologist of systems or telecommunications, in computer science or related, with experience in management of local area networks (wired/wireless) for more than 2000 virtual/physical devices and extended datacenter supporting critical business environments.Creation/Editing medium and high critical configuration scripts for new environments, troubleshooting, remediation scenarios.Experience in configuration, troubleshooting, testing, IMAC for access/border/core network for Cisco/HP Family.Knowledge of Cisco/HP family devices including L2/L3 switches and Router L3-L7 for access/edge/core, WLAN.Experience with firewalls Palo Alto, SASE, apply policies/rules/group membership/individual.Identification, testing and building of cabling CAT5-9, fiber optics MM/SM.Testing for data communication, radio, and mobile access.Palo Alto Firewall / Windows Jump Server configuration.Panorama and Cortex management for a large number of devices.Prepare, validate and conduct change management processes.Capacity and performance analysis (CPU, memory, throughput, ports).
Fluent in English.Good to haveKnowledge of Fortinet/Huawei for network (LAN/WLAN) and security devices.Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and network security administration.Palo Alto Panorama and visibility/administration for large numbers of firewalls.Setup, configuration, integration, design, zero trust; rules optimization, IP policy and documentation.Hardening, standard prod-ready setups, capacity planning, high availability and failover.Virtual and appliance devices, cloud and on-prem, backup & restore.VPN IPsec and client-to-site implementations.Integration with threat intel, SOC and other security team members.End-user support in ICT scope: hardware, OS, telephony, videoconferencing, web conferencing, audio conferencing; corrective maintenance.Clear communication to users about software, information systems, equipment, standards and procedures.Identify and report critical problems to Level 2 Service Supervisor; assess exceptional situations.Analyze hardware requirements for software installation.Test new equipment components or peripherals; prepare configuration and user guides.Asset management activities at Customer locations when needed.Understand cybersecurity attacks and mitigation methods.Key responsibilitiesThe network Associate is responsible for LAN, WAN, WLAN, or SDWAN networks, addressing, switches, routers, WiFi devices, AD, DNS, NPM, Firewalls, CDNs, load balancers, NFV.
