An innovative global CRO organisation in the life sciences sector is seeking a VP, Head of Oncology business unit. This is a unique opportunity to drive commercial success, shape strategic direction, and deliver operational excellence in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide visionary commercial leadership for the Oncology business, developing and executing strategies to expand market share, revenue, and profitability.
* Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leading proposals, bids, and commercial negotiations.
* Hold full P&L responsibility for the Oncology unit, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
* Ensure operational delivery of clinical trials and services to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency.
* Inspire and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture aligned with organisational values and commercial objectives.
* Represent the business at industry events and executive forums, providing thought leadership and staying ahead of industry trends.
* Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive cross-functional initiatives and contribute to overall company strategy.
Qualification Requirements
* Minimum 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry, with significant exposure to commercial leadership, P&L management, and operational delivery.
* Proven expertise in designing and/or managing clinical trials in Oncology.
* Strong regulatory, scientific, technical, and clinical knowledge within Oncology, gained in CRO and Pharma/Biotech settings.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience representing organisations at executive and industry levels.
* Consultative and collaborative approach to project implementation.
* Willingness to travel internationally (up to 50%).
