We are looking for a motivated System Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to support, implement, commission and maintain industrial systems within the Oil & Gas or fuel storage and distribution environment. This role involves hands-on project work, system commissioning at fuel terminals across Brazil and the LATAM region, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and secure system operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot systems running on Red Hat Linux.
Manage and support Oracle and SQL Server databases, including SQL scripting and stored procedure development.
Perform software testing, system validation, and support system commissioning activities.
Participate in system rollouts, upgrades, and migrations from legacy systems.
Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and deliver end-user training.
Work with Terminal Automation Systems (TAS) and Terminal Management Systems (TMS).
Interface with field devices and controllers, including Preset Batch Controllers (Accuload III, Accuload IV, Multiload).
Support Truck and Rail loading/offloading skids and related automation systems.
Develop and analyse operational data, supporting data analytics and reporting.
Design or support report development (e.g., SAP Crystal Reports, Jasper).
Ensure system integration using Modbus TCP, Modbus Serial, and RESTful APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
2 to 5 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar role.
2+ years of experience in Information Technology.
3+ years of work experience with Linux with strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux OS.
Hands-on experience with Oracle and SQL Server.
2+ years of work experience with Oracle database.
Strong SQL scripting and stored procedure development skills.
Experience in software testing and system validation.
Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols.
Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas storage and distribution business processes (highly preferred).
Exposure to Truck/Rail loading operations is a strong advantage.
Fluent in English (verbal and written).

Nice to Have:
Python programming skills.
Experience with data analytics tools or methodologies.
Experience with TAS/TMS solutions.
Hands-on experience with preset batch controllers (Accuload III/IV, Multiload).
