**What you will do**:
- Leading a variety of complex supplier tooling-related initiatives, projects, processes, and operations with innovative thinking.
- Initiating and driving collaboration among engineering personnel, business unit procurement teams, suppliers, and Caterpillar tax, technical accounting, and legal experts to maintain compliance while solving complex global business problems.
- Providing guidance and leadership on complex technical issues in the resolution of supplier quality problems, field failures, manufacturing problems, and warranty claims as they may relate to supplier tooling.
- Implementing new ideas on products, processes, technologies, techniques, and procedures to ensure that suppliers provide optimum quality tooling at a competitive cost that ensures the continuity of supply of quality parts throughout the product life.
- Driving the continued development of a state-of-the-art tooling management system supporting predictive and proactive tooling management prior to tooling end of life.
- Benchmarking Caterpillar against Industry leaders to drive World Class tools and processes.
- Provide standard work and documentation supported by on-line and in-person training.
- Own, manage, and modify as needed the supplier tooling Procurement Purchasing Practice.

**Key Manufacturing Processes and Related Tooling**:
- Able to understand the requirements and have basic knowledge regarding tooling/fixtures for the foundry industry (ferrous & non-ferrous), forgings, machining, injection molding, sheet metalwork, and fabrications.

- Bachelor's degree
- English Pre-Advanced
