About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cloud data engineering team, you will design, develop and maintain large-scale data processing systems on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is accurate, complete, and delivered in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement scalable data architectures on AWS
* Develop and maintain high-quality code using Python, PySpark, and other relevant technologies
* Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and deliver insights-driven solutions
* Optimize data processing pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
* Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through continuous monitoring and improvement
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Proven experience with AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, Glue, and CloudWatch
* Strong knowledge of PySpark, including partitioning, joins, and optimization
* Experience with data quality tools, such as Great Expectations and Soda
* Ability to work effectively in agile environments and handle rapid changes
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
