Job SummaryGreen Leaf Productions is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Assistant Editor with experience in the film industry. This full-time role will support the post-production team by organizing media, prepping projects for editors, managing assets, and ensuring smooth workflow from ingest to final delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesIngest, organize, and sync footage in preparation for the editorial process.Create and maintain organized project files, bins, and timelines.Manage proxies, transcoding, and media relinking tasks.Assist editors with rough cuts, pulls, stringouts, and revision updates.Handle exports, compression, and formatting for client review or delivery.Maintain edit logs, version control, and archive protocols.Collaborate with the editorial team to troubleshoot technical issues and streamline workflows.Prepare project elements for handoff to color, sound, and finishing teams.Qualifications2+ years of experience as an Assistant Editor in film, television, or commercial post-production.Proficiency in Avid Media Composer (and familiarity with After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere and Media Encoder).Strong understanding of post-production workflows, codecs, and file management.Excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.Ability to take direction and work under tight deadlines.Strong communication and teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.Familiarity with frame rates, aspect ratios, audio syncing, and multi-cam workflows.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Film, Media, or related field.Experience with project management tools and cloud-based storage systems (e.g., Frame.io, Dropbox etc.).Basic knowledge of color grading and sound mixing workflows is a plus.
