We are seeking an AWS expert who will expand ideas through the right tools and contribute to our success in a collaborative environment.
This role requires a robust set of skills encompassing both cloud infrastructure and container orchestration.
AWS Services:
Proficiency in core AWS services like EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, EBS, and EFS is crucial, along with understanding how these integrate with Kubernetes.
Networking:
Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, and routing tables, and how they apply to Kubernetes clusters.
Security:
Knowledge of AWS security best practices, IAM roles and policies, and securing Kubernetes clusters is required.
Automation & Scripting:
Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automating AWS tasks and managing infrastructure as code (e.g., using CloudFormation or Terraform) is expected.
Kubernetes Fundamentals:
Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including control plane components (API server, etcd, scheduler, controller manager) and worker node components (kubelet, kube-proxy, container runtime), is necessary.
Containerization:
Expertise in Docker or other container runtimes, including image building, registry management, and container best practices, is required.
Workload Management:
Ability to deploy, manage, and scale applications using Kubernetes objects like Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, and Secrets is essential.
Networking:
Understanding of Kubernetes networking concepts, including CNI plugins, Service networking, Ingress controllers, and DNS resolution within the cluster, is necessary.
Storage:
Knowledge of Kubernetes storage options, including Persistent Volumes, Persistent Volume Claims, and Storage Classes, particularly with AWS storage integrations, is required.
Monitoring & Logging:
Experience with monitoring and logging solutions for Kubernetes, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, or AWS CloudWatch Container Insights, is expected.
Troubleshooting:
Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues within Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications are necessary.
Helm & Kustomize:
Familiarity with package managers like Helm for deploying and managing Kubernetes applications, and Kustomize for configuration customization, is required.
C I/CD:
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how to integrate Kubernetes deployments into automated workflows is expected.
