Commodities Equity Derivatives Trading Desk Specialist
This position involves providing support for commodities asset class onboarding to an equity derivatives trading desk. The ideal candidate will have experience in capital markets, preferably in commodities and/or equity derivatives.
Responsibilities:
* Resolve daily functional, valuation, and pricing issues.
* Address daily issues stemming from the equity derivatives desk.
* Work closely with traders to address level 3 issues.
* Amen pre-trade rules, e-tradepad, and simulations.
* Resolve requests or issues with profit and loss, market data, and booking issues.
* Analyze, formulate, propose, develop, and/or contribute to overall solutions as per production support deliverables.
* Liaise with technical teams when needed to resolve front-office related issues and necessary enhancements.
* Manage day-to-day assigned project tasks to complete various front-office deliverables.
* Yield curve issue resolution and validation; curve assignments; new curve creation.
* Continuous follow-up of new market regulations/practices globally.
* Perform various levels of testing for assigned deliverables and participate in formal release cycles (sit/uat).
* Develop front-office business requirements per given stream and according to project needs as they come along.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong product knowledge in equity derivatives and commodities.
* Very strong understanding of foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives business.
* Very strong understanding and hands-on experience in market data, curve structure, simulations, and trade life cycle.
* Strong experience in supporting front-office users and resolving their daily issues.
* 5+ years' experience with Murex front-office functionalities.
* 4+ years' experience in financial markets roles.
* SQL proficiency.
* Must have a strong personality, logical, and analytical skills.
* Be detail-oriented, a quick learner, and self-starter.
* Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
* Must have strong organization skills.
