The Project Manager will oversee project management, leadership, profitability, and client relations for a design team. Responsibilities include managing project budgets, staff supervision, technical proposal preparation, and ensuring project quality and compliance.
This leadership role involves active involvement in civic, professional, and business organizations, along with mentoring staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project management in Land Development Plan Design, Stormwater Management, Water and Sanitary Sewer Design, and Erosion and Sedimentation Control.
2. Manage team assignments and workload in a deadline-driven environment.
3. Provide strategic guidance and promote business development.
4. Ensure quality control and regulatory permitting.
5. Assist staff and clients with technical issues.
6. Prepare presentations for land use boards and agencies.
7. Build and maintain client relationships, manage programs, and promote strategic alliances.
8. Prepare proposals and support project delivery to ensure quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
9. Handle financial management of projects, including accounts receivable.
10. Lead projects through active project management, ensuring on-schedule and on-budget completion.
11. Manage client satisfaction and mentor staff.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
2. At least 5 years’ experience in Civil Site Engineering, including design and permitting.
3. Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
4. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
5. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydrology and Hydraulic software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Knowledge of planning, zoning, stormwater design, and construction oversight.
7. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
8. Experience in client management and staff development.
