Customer Service Specialist (Remote)
About the role:
This opportunity is designed for experienced customer service professionals who are comfortable managing multi-channel support operations, resolving complex inquiries, handling escalations, and delivering high-quality customer experiences in fast-paced remote environments.
Pay Rates:
Part-Time Monthly Rates: $840-$$1,400 (based on 20 hours per week schedule)
Full-Time Monthly Rates: $1,680-$2,800 (based on 40 hours per week schedule)
The posted monthly salary range is an average monthly income. However, all jobs at Virtual Latinos are hourly, and pay is calculated based on the number of hours worked daily. We pay our Virtual Professionals every 2 weeks through third-party platforms. The hourly rate range of the position is $10.50 - $17.50, depending on experience. Once a rate has been offered to you, it is non-negotiable.
Work Schedule:
The work schedule will vary depending on the position and client. Most schedules align with U.S. and Canadian business hours.
Key responsibilities:
* Multi-Channel Customer Support: Handle customer inquiries across phone, email, live chat, and social media, ensuring timely, professional, and solution-oriented responses.
* Escalation & Problem Resolution: Diagnose complex customer issues, troubleshoot effectively, and manage escalations through resolution while maintaining customer satisfaction and retention.
* Account Management & CRM Administration: Update and maintain accurate customer records, process account changes, and ensure data integrity within CRM and helpdesk systems (Zendesk, Freshdesk, HubSpot, Intercom, or similar).
* Product & Service Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of products, services, and internal processes to provide accurate guidance and proactive recommendations to customers.
* Reporting & Process Improvement: Document customer interactions, identify recurring issues and trends, and provide actionable feedback to support teams and leadership to improve service quality.
Depending on the client, you may also support order processing, returns management, knowledge base maintenance, or quality assurance initiatives.
What you bring:
* Must be 21+ years old
* 3+ years of experience in customer service, customer support, or client-facing roles
* Bilingual English (C1 or above) / Spanish
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred
Required Skills:
* Strong understanding of customer service best practices, support workflows, and escalation procedures
* Experience working with CRM or helpdesk platforms (Zendesk, Freshdesk, HubSpot, Intercom, Salesforce Service Cloud, LiveAgent, Zoho Desk, or similar)
* Familiarity with communication and collaboration tools (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Dialpad, RingCentral, Aircall, or similar)
* Experience with ticketing and knowledge base systems (Jira Service Management, Help Scout, Confluence, Notion, or similar)
* Proficiency in productivity and scheduling tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Calendly, or similar)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
* Ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities simultaneously in remote environments
* Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
* Empathetic, patient communication style with a focus on customer retention
* Comfortable handling confidential customer information with discretion
