We are seeking skilled craftsmen to contribute to a pioneering research project. The Common Lives Project aims to improve artificial intelligence understanding of manual labor through wearable technology.
About the Role:
* You will record your daily activities, such as woodworking or building, using a head-mounted GoPro camera for 5 separate days within a 2-week window.
* The footage will be uploaded to a secure platform and reviewed in short clips.
* You must choose to delete, anonymize, or consent to each video segment.
Requirements:
* No children under 18 should be present during the recording period.
* All adults in the household must be fluent English speakers and agree to appear in the footage.
* A private, self-contained apartment, building, or indoor work environment is required.
* You must live with other individuals who meet these requirements.
Participant Requirements:
* You must work indoors in non-customer-facing roles.
* Participants from the same workplace or household should both have a GoPro mounted during the activity.
* Preferably engaged in manual or creative work, such as chef, baker, artist, musician, electrician, or mechanic.
* You must be self-employed or have employer consent to record in the work environment.
Technical Requirements:
* Access to a computer and internet connection is necessary.
* Comfortable using web-based tools for uploading and reviewing clips.
* A GoPro camera and all accessories will be provided by us.
