Boeing Brazil is seeking Expert Structural Design Engineer to join the Structures Design Team located in Sao Jose Dos Campos, Brazil. Boeing is inspiring the next century of explorers. Reporting directly to Structures Design Manager, a successful member of this team will understand and implement modifications and upgrades on the primary and secondary structure of the existing and new programs for The Boeing Company. Position Responsibilities: Provides oversight and direction to develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design. Leads development, maintenance and modification of structural and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Works under consultative direction. Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer. This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at the listed location. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Senior level of experience in aerospace structures design. Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, with degrees in Aerodynamics-Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering. Senior experience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX). Proficiency in English. Must be legally able to work in Brazil. Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience): Solid experience validating or verifying structural models. Solid experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment. Solid experience with structural design principles for aircraft. Solid experience with analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
