Kenvue is recruiting for a Packaging PL Engineer, Essential Health Packaging R&D, based in São José dos Campos, SP, Brazil. Location: Hybrid work arrangement in Latin America, Brazil, Sao Paulo, Sao Jose dos Campos.
Role
Packaging PL Engineer, Essential Health Packaging R&D. Function: Global Packaging. Line Manager Position: Packaging manager of Essential Health Packaging R&D. Report to ENG ESP I.
What You Will Do
The Packaging PL Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing validation of package components and packaging processes; evaluating new package concepts and technologies; leading process improvement or task teams; and partnering with the creative design group to deliver packaging components in a timely manner for research and development and packaging system projects.
Develop LATAM Essential Health (EH) packaging aligned to regional and global segment strategies for a superior consumer experience.
Ensure packaging execution excellence of project pipelines by applying the Kenvue Packaging Development Process to deliver Right First Time.
Maintain primary and secondary packaging component specifications with robustness, accuracy, and completeness.
Deliver projects with quality and compliance to company requirements; compile and analyze data, identify causes, draw conclusions, and generate reports.
Manage multiple priorities with the ability to operate in a complex, changing environment to ensure flawless execution.
Partner with Global Packaging teams (innovation, sustainability, experience, value realization, supplier excellence) to support platform development and supplier selection.
Collaborate with Global Packaging Sustainability to embed packaging sustainability guidelines into specifications to meet Kenvue’s commitments.
Lead new package development based on consumer insights, delivering targeted consumer benefits and key claims while meeting cost targets.
Identify and champion technical advancements, design trends, and innovations in packaging; monitor supplier and competitor developments and escalate as needed.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related field
2+ years of experience in packaging design and development
Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and testing methods
Familiarity with Package Test methods
Excellent project management and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
Knowledge of FDA, cGMPs and CPSC regulations is highly desired
Technical writing skills
Preferred/Desired
Knowledge of packaging technologies in plastic molding, flexible film and fiber-based packaging
Proficient in English for cross-country project management
Strong focus on sustainability and eCommerce (Omnichannel) packaging
Proficient in CAD, packaging development, material application, conversion technologies, DfM principles, and consumer use analysis
Data-driven with strong problem-solving skills; ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to influence and motivate cross-functional partners and to present effectively
Business acumen to understand trends and technology impacting the business
