Role: DevOps Developer with Java exp.Location: Itaim Bibi, São Paulo Brazil (Hybrid)Type of Employment: Full TimeJOB SUMMARY:We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in software development (JAVA) on Unix platforms.The specialist will undergo one month of intensive training to become a Migration SME (Subject Matter Expert) and will then be assigned to a specific migration stream.This role requires effective collaboration with functional SMEs to plan and execute large-scale migrations.The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Autosys batch scheduling, CI/CD tools, and troubleshooting software deployments.They should be proficient in environment setup, testing, migration execution, and automation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:➢Migration & Deployment Activities:Complete intensive 1-month training to become a Migration SMEWork with functional SMEs to plan, coordinate, and execute migrationsSet up lower environments based on provided specificationsDeploy software using CI/CD tools and ensure smooth software rolloutsExecute UAT and production parallel tests, analyze results and troubleshoot discrepanciesTroubleshoot build failures, deployment failures, and testing failures during migrationFollow firm’s change management procedures to ensure compliance and risk mitigationMust be able to multitask and work well under pressure➢Batch Scheduling & Automation:Manage and configure Autosys instances and Procmon master (GS product) for migrationsOptimize batch processing workflowsTroubleshoot and resolve job failures in the new platformREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSAtleast 5 years of experience in software development and DevOps, including 2+ years as a DevOps Engineer➢Core Technical Skills:Hands-on software development experience in JAVAStrong Unix/Linux expertise, including Perl/shell scripting and system administrationCI/CD tools experience (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab, SVN etc.)Working experience using Autosys batch scheduling system e.g. creating and maintaining autosys jobs, troubleshooting job failures etc.Experience with migration of batch processing systems or similar projectsStrong troubleshooting skills for build failures, testing issues and deployment errors➢Testing & Deployment Skills:Ability to execute UAT and production parallel tests, compare results and identify discrepanciesExperience in environment setup and software deployment in lower environmentsFamiliarity with test automation frameworks and debugging methodologies➢Migration & Change Management:Experience in creating detailed migration plans and executing them successfullyAbility to run pre-mortem calls, identify potential migration risks and mitigate issuesUnderstanding of IT change management processes and best practices➢Development & Automation:Strong shell scripting skills for automationExperience in building custom tools/utilities to support migration effortsExposure to IaC (Infrastructure as code) tools like terraform (preferred)➢Soft Skills & Collaboration:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teamsAbility to document processes and train stakeholders as neededTeam-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to challengesTools Candidate should be well versed with the following tools to be successful in their day-to-day duties: Familiarity with Eclipse/IntelliJ Knowledge of scripting languages like Shell/Python/Perl Knowledge of programing languages like Core Java or similar Knowledge of working with Unix environment Some knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Sybase) Exposure to scheduling tools like Autosys, Control-M, Cron etc. Familiarity with SDLC tools, Change Management, Version Control etc. Certification in Autosys or related technologies
