Project Description:
* Founded in 1984, our client is a leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips. The client has R&D and manufacturing operations in The Netherlands. Luxoft seeks to augment the Development & Engineering Department with a talented software engineer to design and implement embedded software for highly precise systems.
Responsibilities:
* Work on Linux server applications for metrology components and complex algorithms application software.
* Collaborate with electrical, mechatronic, and system engineers to define software requirements.
* Understand existing embedded software implementations.
* Work with Functional Engineers to clarify requirements and develop high-quality software.
* Implement new features and modify current baselines.
* Create and maintain design documentation.
* Develop tests for new implementations and maintain testing environments.
* Resolve issues and troubleshoot based on field or factory feedback.
* Evaluate technical issues, risks, dependencies, and plan accordingly.
* Work within a software environment that involves a codebase of approximately 40 million lines, using Agile and SAFE methodologies.
Mandatory Skills:
* Senior engineer with at least 6+ years of experience.
* Proficiency in C / C++ for application development (70% C language).
* Experience with Embedded C / C++, maintaining legacy code, and adding features while adhering to architecture.
* Experience with version control systems: Git, ClearCase, SVN (preferred order).
* Familiarity with Embedded Linux, command line tools, makefiles, shell scripting, and Python scripting.
* Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, CI/CD practices, and GIT.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or equivalent.
