We are looking for a Security & Low-Voltage Designer / Estimator who can review drawings, analyze tenders, design system layouts, and prepare accurate cost estimates for complex projects.This is a remote, full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM Eastern Time (ET).Position OverviewThis hybrid role blends design and estimating. You will review construction drawings, bids, and tender packages, then translate them into complete design documents, material takeoffs, and competitive estimates. You’ll prepare layouts, risers, and technical specifications using AutoCAD and Bluebeam, while collaborating with project managers, sales teams, and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, door schedules, and tender documentsDesign integrated security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion, Intercom)Design low-voltage / data systems including structured cabling, network racks, and pathwaysPrepare material take-offs (MTO), labour estimates, and detailed cost proposalsProduce layouts, risers, and markups using AutoCAD and BluebeamDevelop and submit accurate quotations and bid packagesCollaborate with sales, PMs, and vendors to confirm pricing, timelines, and compatibilityMaintain organized records of estimates, proposals, drawings, and documentationParticipate in handover meetings for awarded projectsContribute to continuous improvement of estimating templates and design standardsMust-Have Qualifications2–3+ years of experience in security system estimating or low-voltage designProven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and tender documentsStrong proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam RevuSolid understanding of low-voltage systems, wiring methods, and structured cabling standards (TIA / EIA)Experience with quoting Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Door Hardware, and related systemsStrong written and verbal English communication skillsProficiency with Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word)Ability to work remotely with strong self-management and organizationExperience with Zoho CRM / Books or similar platforms is an assetNice to HaveEducation in Engineering, Architecture, Technology, or related fieldsKnowledge of Canadian and U.S. security / building codesExperience preparing technical submittals or shop drawingsFrench language proficiencyWork DetailsLocation : RemoteType : Full-timeHours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM ET
