Maintenance Planner – Offshore Oil & Gas
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support offshore drilling operations regarding asset integrity management. By ensuring maintenance plans are executed effectively and aligned with operational needs, the Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in maximizing asset reliability, minimizing operational risks, and supporting safe, compliant offshore drilling operations.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance plans.
Build and control weekly schedules and campaign plans (shutdowns, operational windows, major maintenance).
Prioritize work orders based on asset criticality and operational risk.
Create, review and track work orders (WO) in CMMS/ERP, ensuring scope, duration, manpower and materials are properly defined.
Monitor execution and close work orders with complete technical history and documentation.
Plan materials, spare parts, tools and services to ensure offshore execution readiness.
Align offshore logistics (cargo, flights/helicopters, vessels) and integrate schedules with onshore/offshore team availability.
Track maintenance KPIs such as backlog, MTBF, MTTR and schedule compliance, supporting reliability and risk-based maintenance decisions.
Ensure HSE compliance, supporting PTW, JSA/APR and LOTO routines and audit readiness.
Qualifications
Advanced English for communication and technical documentation.
Proven experience in industrial/offshore maintenance planning, preferably within Oil & Gas.
Strong knowledge of CMMS/ERP systems (SAP PM, Maximo or equivalent).
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, manuals and procedures).
Strong planning discipline, organization, systemic mindset and clear communication with Operations, Engineering and HSE.
Ability to perform under pressure in critical offshore environments.
Technical degree or Engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Petroleum or related).
Strong Excel skills; Power BI is a plus.
Work Location
Preferably based in Rio de Janeiro.
Availability to offshore rig visit under 14x14 shifts and occasionally at Rio de Janeiro office.
