Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support and build out for a greenfield Calypso instance. This role requires a comprehensive and integrated approach to defining, setting up, or trouble shooting issues arising from day-to-day activities on the platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles and deep understanding of financial products cross assets. They will be responsible for developing necessary solutions to Back Office (BO) / Accounting / Operations / Finance requirements and creating and delivering assigned projects / tasks as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
This role also involves managing and establishing methodology and best practice for BO / Accounting / Operations / Finance requirements, ensuring supporting documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored, and working closely with relevant business and technology stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
Key responsibilities include submitting status reports to stakeholders; coordinating and providing updates to steering committees, collaboration with key functional or business stakeholders to achieve clear outcomes/deliverables in relation to the strategic and transformational book of work, and managing deliverables ensuring transparency of risks, issues and dependencies that are fully aligned to functional / business owners.
The successful candidate will also act as a business analyst, helping the team gather and write requirements, acceptance criteria. Additional skills required include experience of adherence to governance frameworks / implementation and handover to BAU, proven track record of delivery of accounting and finance related solutions (settings) within Calypso, and comprehensive knowledge of trade flow, trading systems and related concepts and technology, including valuation and client/market risk management.
Requirements:
* 2+ years of experience working in Capital Markets and on Calypso
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles
* Deep Knowledge of Financial products cross assets
* Proven track record of delivery of accounting and finance related solutions (settings) within Calypso
* Experience of adherence to governance frameworks / implementation and handover to BAU
* Comprehensive knowledge of trade flow, trading systems and related concepts and technology, including valuation and client/market risk management
Prior experience in similar roles and skills such as analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making, comfortable direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources, excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, experience with working in a highly collaborative and dynamic multi-team environment, Spanish speak/write is a must.
