Position: AS400 Analyst – L3 Support (Banking Domain)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AS/400 Analyst to provide L3 support for critical banking and clearing applications. The professional will work on incident resolution, maintenance activities, and user support for systems running on the AS/400 platform, including the GMI application (FIS), which is widely used for back-office clearing and accounting of exchange-traded and OTC derivatives. This role requires solid technical expertise and the ability to operate in a high-demand production support environment.
Mandatory Requirements:
• 4–8 years of experience working with AS/400 environments.
• Strong knowledge of RPG and DB2.
• Experience in production support, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
• Ability to analyze system behavior, identify issues, and coordinate solutions in complex environments.
• Advanced English for communication with global stakeholders.
Preferred Requirements (Nice to Have):
• Familiarity with GMI (FIS), particularly in clearing, settlement, and accounting processes.
• Previous experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain.
• Knowledge of derivatives operations, futures, options, and OTC processing.
• Exposure to vendor-managed applications and third-party support structures.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide L3 support for the GMI application, including user assistance, incident resolution, and coordination with vendor teams when needed.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues on the AS/400 platform, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
• Execute support and maintenance activities to ensure application stability and availability.
• Monitor system processes, logs, and data flows to identify anomalies and recurring issues.
• Collaborate with business users to understand functional impacts and validate corrective actions.
• Participate in change management, ensuring controlled deployment and minimal production risk.
• Document operational procedures, updates, and resolutions to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements by identifying opportunities to optimize existing processes.
