Hiring: Media Buyer (Google & YouTube)
Reports to: Director of Marketing
Status: Full-time Contractor
Location: Remote
Position Overview
Are You a Performance-Driven Strategist Who Knows How to Make Google & YouTube Ads Scale?
If you thrive on performance data, love solving ROAS puzzles, and know how to build and scale high-converting campaigns on Google and YouTube, this could be your next big move.
We’re looking for a strategic thinker who can own and scale a multi-million-dollar search engine account. You’ll be responsible for campaign strategy, performance optimization, and growing Google ad spend into the multi-millions, while launching YouTube as a standalone acquisition channel.
This isn’t a plug-and-play role. We want someone who owns results, makes decisive moves, and isn’t afraid to be accountable for outcomes. If you need step-by-step direction or shy away from taking full responsibility, this isn’t the role for you.
Responsibilities
Budget Management & Channel Scaling
Manage and optimize a $600K/month Google Ads engine, with ~$500K allocated to Search and Performance Max.
Take ownership of scaling Google ad spend from six figures to multi-millions while maintaining strong performance metrics.
Build and grow YouTube as its own high-performing acquisition channel, developing a strategy tailored to its unique strengths.
Ensure efficient budget allocation across campaigns, balancing aggressive growth with disciplined ROI targets.
Forecast performance, scale winners, and pull back on underperformers with confidence and speed.
Campaign Strategy & Execution
Own the full lifecycle of Google and YouTube ad campaigns—from planning and launch to optimization and scaling.
Execute both search and video strategies using Google Ads and YouTube Ads Manager.
Set up advanced audience targeting, keyword strategies, bidding models, and exclusions.
Build and manage campaigns across multiple products and funnels, ensuring high efficiency and profitability.
Performance Optimization
Analyze campaign data daily to identify trends, diagnose performance issues, and uncover opportunities.
Optimize key metrics including CTR, CPC, ROAS, conversion rate, and CPA.
Rapidly test and iterate on creatives, headlines, calls to action, and landing page combinations.
Collaborate with our creative team to brief and test new video and static assets.
Creative & Funnel Collaboration
Partner with the creative team to ensure video scripts and visuals are optimized for YouTube’s first 5 seconds and beyond.
Provide feedback on hooks, visual pacing, and CTA integration based on performance data.
Align paid traffic with appropriate landing pages, upsells, and conversion paths.
Industry Knowledge
Stay current on platform updates, policy changes, and new ad formats for Google and YouTube.
Bring new strategies, trends, and tactics to the table that keep us ahead of the competition.
Requirements
5+ years running paid Google and/or YouTube campaigns
Proven experience managing a minimum of $1 million dollars of ad spend in Google and YouTube
