Patent Paralegal Project Manager
* This is a full-time, remote position requiring the ability to work independently in Pacific Standard Time (United States time zone). Regular working hours will be Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm PST.
About the Role
The Patent Paralegal Project Manager will oversee and manage patent filing requests, ensuring timely delivery within scope and to the highest standards. Responsibilities include coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing all documents required for EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Initiating responses to official communications and notifications.
* Coordinating filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Monitoring all assigned cases and ensuring deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in either a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* Significant experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A successful track record of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools and various Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skill at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skill at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
