Job description
Work with Digital Mine Product Managers, marketing, sales, services and support teams to architect and consult on solution in region.
Offer technical advice to support local region with consultative selling;
Present solutions at customer meetings to support Account Manager;
Assist with Pre-Feasibility and Value Assessment studies based on information collected in the field;
Create a "trusted technical advisor" relationship with our customer's technologists and internal technical teammates;
Establish a deep understanding of our customers business and technical needs.
Help identify opportunities, problems, and solutions across the Mining flow sheet;
Ability to drive key customer facing meetings and events, particularly C level discussions;
Develop frameworks to support solution selling on an enterprise level;
Shape and be held accountable for developing technical proposals.
Support and provide inputs for commercial proposals;
Provide basic project management and analytics support with respects to the implementation of first line support and monitoring (including process & process control monitoring, process advisory and APC Projects);
Be familiar with Process Control, Process Optimization, Asset Performance Management and Safety Concepts, to articulate a vision based on customer needs and outcomes;
Actively contribute to the multi-generational product plan managed by the Product Manager to drive competitive and technological differentiation for Wabtec Digital Mine's products & services;
Product Development Strategy guidance by documenting and sharing customer requirements to product management to guarantee the visibility to support market demands;
Provide support in enabling the partner ecosystem.
Requirement Profile - Knowledge, Skills & Experiences
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering;
Deep practical Mining industry knowledge, across the Mining flow sheet and equipment;
Strong software and/or optimization background, including analytics background and practical experience in one or more of the following: process monitoring and automation, PID control loop performance monitoring and tuning, Process Optimization, Advanced Process Control, Model Predictive Control, process modeling, data mining, industrial instrumentation, asset monitoring;
At least intermediate project management skills for tracking the projects driven by the PreSales team for timely deliverable and resource requirements;
Strong written and verbal skills, at engineering and staff levels;
Fluent written and verbal communication in English and Portuguese, as a bonus proficiency in Spanish;
Technical leadership qualities, with excellent client facing and presentation skills;
Strong track record of establishing structure in ambiguous situations and working around unknowns;
Strong interpersonal, leadership and change management skills;
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
