Part‑time, work‑from‑home position with a flexible schedule. ****** hours per week (may vary week‑to‑week).
Course Description
Grading support (using Python and C#) for: CSE 110 - Introduction to Programming, CSE 111 - Programming with Functions, CSE 210 - Programming with Classes, CSE 212 - Programming with Data Structures. These courses provide students with foundational programming skills for software development teams.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate student work using university procedures, rubrics, and feedback templates.
* Provide actionable, timely, and accurate feedback.
* Respond to student questions and concerns about scoring.
* Coordinate with supervisors to resolve grading issues quickly.
* Participate in training sessions to receive guidance and feedback.
* Apply training feedback and quality checks to improve performance.
* Perform other duties as assigned in support of the academic process.
Qualifications
* An applicant's résumé and official transcripts are used to determine eligibility for grading the Computer Programming courses. Highlight relevant education, professional work, and technologies on your résumé.
* Degree or coursework in a related field.
* Demonstrated subject‑matter expertise.
* Fluency in Portuguese and English (required).
* Experience With Online Teaching/learning, Especially With At‑risk Learners (preferred).
* High accuracy, efficiency, and reliability in following procedures and meeting deadlines.
* Ability to focus and maintain quality, even with repetitive or complex tasks.
* Adaptability to new processes, procedures, and technologies.
* Professional, respectful, and unbiased in sensitive situations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and discipline‑specific software.
* Proven ability to grade effectively within these subject areas.
Specific Course Requirements
* A bachelor's degree in computer science or a software development‑related field is preferred; equivalent education/work experience may be considered.
* Experience with Python, C#, or Java is required.
* Proficiency with basic programming concepts, object‑oriented concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
* Familiarity with version control (e.g., GitHub) and code editors (e.g., Visual Studio Code).
* Attention to detail and ability to follow test cases with accuracy.
* Ability to read and debug imperfect code and communicate clearly in writing.
Additional Documentation Requirement
* Copy of original transcript (histórico escolar).
* Copy of diploma (front and back) showing date of completion or graduation (data da colação de grau).
* Documents issued by Brazilian or foreign institutions are accepted, provided they are recognized in Brazil and the country of origin (Bacharelado/Licenciatura).
