**This role in summary**:

**Your responsibilities will include**:

Understand our consumers’ needs, behaviors and abilities and be an advocate for them throughout product development.**
- **
Plan and conduct usability and research activities to ensure that user-centered design principles and methods impact our wide range of consumer products, providing input and actionable recommendations to strategic partners such as Industrial Designers, Product Developers, Engineers, and Marketers.**
- **
Create innovative user interaction concepts for our home appliance products and services that stand out in the marketplace. Communicate the same through storyboarding and storytelling.**
- **
Collaborate with cross-functional global stakeholders to understand requirements and co-create thoughtful solutions.**
- **
Develop and conduct in-home research to gather insights by observing the user in their home environment.**
- **
Plan and execute heuristic evaluations with users or experts to evaluate potential issues in the design and propose how to fix them.**
- **
- **
Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes.**
- **
Document the specifications utilized by engineers to execute your design.**
- **
Co-Create compelling, inspiring, and unique digital designs for Whirlpool connected home appliances and services.**
- **
Stay on top of the latest trends for product innovation by analyzing the competitive landscape and the adjacent industries**
**Minimum requirements**:
- **
Understanding of the human-centered design process.**
- **
You will have at least 6-8 years of industry experience as a hands-on Human Factors or Usability practitioner**
- **
You will hold at a Bachelor / Masters Degree in Experimental Psychology, Human Factors, Ergonomics, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction or a closely related behavioral science discipline**
- **
You fluently speak Portuguese and Spanish**
- **
You are willing to travel abroad to conduct research**
**Preferred skills and experiences**:
- **
Previous industry experience.**
- **
You will have a research background, with experience in experimental design, data analysis, and results interpretation;**
- **
You will have experience of taking ownership of projects, and will be able to produce work of a high standard without close supervision;**
- **
- **
Ability to design seamlessly between the physical and digital experiences.**
- **
Excellent communication skills written and verbal in both Italian and English**
- **
Experience collaborating with a cross-functional international team throughout the design process.**
- **
Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy.**
