We are seeking a skilled PLM Systems Architect to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, the PLM Systems Architect will play a vital role in designing and implementing enterprise-level Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in PLM tools like ARAS and SolidWorks. You will be working closely with other engineers, analysts, and leadership to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing information systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, data management, and database administration. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Maintenance, optimization, troubleshooting, upgrades, installation, and documentation of infrastructure related to PLM systems, including PLM database management, project management systems, CAD, and PDM systems.
* Administration of new and existing technologies, including design, documentation, installation, configuration, maintenance, integration, and testing of related systems.
* Collaborative work with business customers on hardware, middleware, and application requirements.
* Leadership with vendors, engineers, analysts, and leadership to ensure the integrity of databases, application software, and data.
* Regular system monitoring, verification of system health and availability, reviewing application and system logs, and ensuring completion of scheduled jobs.
* Problem-solving efforts regarding system and service matters and facilitation of support with outside personnel, organizations, and/or vendors.
* Monitoring tech-industry trends and bringing new ideas and innovative solutions.
* Development of new deliverables as needed based on operational requirements and following best practices for documentation and delivery.
* Data analysis to drive decision-making and recommendations.
* Configuration and deployment of devices and peripherals as necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or similar discipline, and/or equivalent related work experience. PLM Certification preferred.
* Hands-on experience with ARAS (PLM tool) and SolidWorks (CAD system).
* Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in a factory or enterprise setting.
* Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience with PLM.
* Technical expertise with PLM systems such as CAD, PDM, ERP, PMO.
* Excellent communication (oral and written) skills, including the ability to explain and present technical information.
* Effective training and advisory skills.
* Strong analytical, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
* Approachable and adaptable.
* Able to work extended-hours or outside of normal business hours including weekends as needed.
* Working-level knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
