As part of our focus to offer the best solutions and experiences to our customers we are launching APIs & Microservices Platform strategy across J&J Vision. To enable this strategy, Johnson & Johnson Vision is seeking an IT Lead, APIs & Microservices Platform Owner to join our Business Technology Solutions team supporting our global franchise. This person will be responsible for the APIs & Microservices Platform technology space for different implementations in the commercial area across the world in our Surgical Vision and Vision Care operating companies.
This role will lead the creation of the APIs & Microservices Platform for the global Vision franchise and will be accountable for technology selection in partnership with various JJT stakeholders while being responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and deployments for J&J Vision globally. You will collaborate with JJT Leaders, Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Platform Teams, Shared Service teams and external partners to deliver the right capabilities that meet business strategic objectives and deliver the right outcomes. As Platform Owner you will be accountable for all aspects of our APIs & Microservices strategy including roadmaps, design governance, compliance, licensing, reliability, and leading development teams to deliver new solutions that enable user experience and deliver outcomes across our diverse global technology products.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Partner with the Business Product Owner, Global, Regional Product teams, Architecture and Technology Services teams to define APIs & Microservices solutions, platform strategy, roadmaps, business cases, and outcomes.
- Deliver a Platform to standardize integrations, consumption, and governance for APIs & Microservices across many different systems in global markets, collaborating with other platform and product owners to optimize the adoption, performance, and business value by inserting the platform offerings into all digital eco-system.
- Have accountability for the platform and its outcomes including related measures, critical metrics, platform performance, team health and maturity, build, run, reliability.
- Understand external trends and insights related to APIs management, process & technology, including digital trends to advise strategies.
- Understand and manage external and regulatory constraints impacting the platform, especially related to data privacy.
- Conduct experiments to test the real-world success of proposed solutions.
- Estimate development and effort levels to prioritize requirements and align IT capacity with top opportunities.
- Lead a squad and deliver deployments and migrations aligned to the platform vision, goals, and encouraged outcomes. Define and ensure adherence to J&J processes and standards.
- Validate squad mission, structure prioritized work between squads, and continually plan resources and financials for the platform.
- Proactively partner with solution leads, technology services, and other regional and global enterprise architects to design scalable, flexible, and supportable technical systems that add business value and are aligned with the JJV technology strategy as well as enterprise patterns and standards.
- Partner with technology services, product lines, and other enterprise architects within the larger J&J organization to influence enterprise technology strategies and find opportunities for bi-directional leverage across sectors and business units.
**Qualifications**
Required**:
- BA/BS degree in a technical or engineering field required. Preferred focus on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Sciences.
- 5 years of equivalent technical experience
- Direct experience in Data Integration, Middleware, APIs or Microservices related technology positions including multi-market deployments, and experience designing and delivering modern integration architectures and techniques.
- Experience with APIs and APIs Management solutions such as Apigee, Mulesoft, and integration architecture principles.
- Experience in running delivery of Agile projects, preferably with global scope in large organizations.
- Experience in managing and crafting solutions in a regulated environment: GxP, HiPAA, GDPR and Consent Management, Data Privacy
