Artist Collaboration for AI Research
Are you a skilled artist working in a creative studio with another creator or assistant? We are seeking talented individuals to participate in the Common Lives Project, a groundbreaking initiative that aims to train AI systems to understand creativity and real-world artistic routines.
This project involves wearing a head-mounted camera to capture daily activities over a period of 5 days within a 2-week window. Participants will be required to record a minimum of 7 hours per day, with flexibility to take breaks and pause the camera for privacy. Additionally, they will need to spend around 2 hours at the end of each day reviewing footage, uploading clips, and making decisions on which segments to delete, anonymize, or consent to.
* We require participants who work indoors in non-customer-facing roles, such as chefs, bakers, artists, carpenters, musicians, electricians, or mechanics. Those who share a workplace or household should both have a GoPro mounted during the activity.
* Participants must be self-employed or have employer consent to record in their work environment. They should also be comfortable using web-based tools for uploading and reviewing clips.
The participant's household must meet certain requirements, including:
* No children under the age of 18 present or visiting during the recording period.
* All adults in the space must be fluent English speakers and consent to being recorded.
* The household must live in a private, self-contained apartment, building, or indoor work environment.
Becoming part of this project offers several benefits, including:
* The opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the future of human-centered AI research.
* A short-term, flexible engagement with minimal disruption to your routine.
* All equipment provided by Turing.
* Participation in an innovative global data collection initiative.
Key Details:
* Commitment Required: 5 recording days within a 2-week window.
* Engagement Type: Contractor/Freelance.
* Duration: 2 weeks (plus setup and review time).
* Location: India, Brazil, Colombia.
We will contact shortlisted candidates for a brief screening and provide onboarding instructions once accepted. Participants will receive training on how to record, upload, and review their footage securely.
