Introduction Keeping the network safe | Keeping work moving | Keeping customers informed Behind every successful piece of network work is a well-planned outage Description About the Role As Electra's Control Room Outage Planner, you'll coordinate safe access to the network, plan outages, manage customer impacts, and ensure field teams can deliver work safely and efficiently. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex scheduling challenges, thinking several steps ahead, and bringing together multiple stakeholders to achieve the best outcome. You'll work closely with contractors, field crews, customers, and the Control Room team to balance safety, reliability, operational efficiency, and customer service. Key aspects of the role include: Planning and coordinating network outages across Electra's electricity network Preparing and reviewing switching schedules and outage documentation Managing network access requests for field teams and contractors Assessing customer impacts and identifying outage solutions that mitigate risk to the community Coordinating planned supply interruptions and customer communications Working with internal teams, contractors, Transpower, and emergency services Benefits At Electra, we recognise that great people are at the heart of our success. Skills And Experiences Skills and Experience Experience within the electricity industry, utilities, or a control room environment would be advantageous. More importantly, you will have experience in an operational environment where safety, planning, and coordination are critical.
