You are applying for the position of Safety Manager.
What We Expect Of You
* Design and develop Safety Goals to achieve BP targets for QSE.
* Lead the development and execution of the strategy to enable effective implementation of safety objectives. Review and analyze the effectiveness of the Safety system through tracking key performance indicators and develop plans for improvement.
* Drive a QSE work-stream team to deliver projects and initiatives, allocating the right resources in the right work scopes.
* Implement new test procedures and equipment through proper investigations and validating alternative proposals and recommendations.
* Lead the development of protocols for validation of new methods, technology, and processes in manufacturing.
* Continuously monitor local safety regulations and ensure the plant complies with all requirements, including licensing, ingredients/materials, and manufacturing processes.
* Review and improve safety knowledge and skills within the team.
* Review and monitor new laws and regulations, conduct gap analyses to ensure compliance.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years in a Safety Leading position.
* Solid knowledge of chemistry, food science, and their application to the beverage industry, including analytical instruments, statistical process control, method validation, measurement of uncertainty, and data interpretation.
* Good knowledge of safety-related regulatory requirements, auditing, and problem-solving skills.
* Technical expertise in Safety.
* People management experience.
* Degree in a scientific discipline (Chemical, Engineering, Administration, or Pharmaceutical).
* Postgraduate qualification in Science (Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Safety Engineering) preferred but can be substituted with relevant work experience.
* Business acumen to drive continuous improvement.
* Languages: Portuguese and English at conversational level; Spanish is desirable.
Annual Incentive Reference Value: 15%
