About this role
We are seeking a skilled Software Release Manager II to plan, coordinate and ensure the timely delivery of software releases in alignment with our organizational strategy and goals. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to guarantee the quality and timeliness of releases, monitor and report progress during release windows and identify areas for improvement through testing feedback.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning, coordinating, communicating, scheduling and facilitating software releases to meet business objectives;
* Collaborating with development, QA, operations and change management teams to ensure readiness and quality;
* Monitoring and communicating release progress, identifying risks and escalating issues as needed;
* Facilitating release meetings and maintaining release calendars;
* Reviewing testing outcomes and working with QA to address defects and improvement opportunities;
* Developing and maintaining release documentation, including release notes and rollback plans;
* Producing reports and metrics on release performance and communicating findings to leadership;
* Ensuring compliance with our release management policies and best practices;
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives for release processes.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred;
* 4+ years of experience in release coordination, change management or related IT governance roles;
* Familiarity with SDLC processes and testing practices;
* Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities;
* Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow or similar for tracking and documentation.
