Pricing Specialist Role
About our organization, a growing freight brokerage and transportation company.
We are seeking a Pricing Specialist to own day-to-day quoting and pricing strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare spot quotes for truckload, LTL, reefer, flatbed, and specialty shipments.
* Analyze customer RFQs/RFPs and build competitive, profitable pricing proposals.
* Maintain and update pricing matrices, lane guides, and rate tables.
Market Analysis:
* Monitor daily market conditions and adjust pricing accordingly.
* Analyze historical data by lane, customer, and mode to set target margins and identify opportunities.
* Recommend pricing strategies for new lanes, customers, and verticals.
Collaboration with Sales & Operations:
* Partner with the sales team to support new business opportunities.
* Work closely with carrier procurement/operations to understand true cost on lanes.
* Provide clear pricing logic and talking points to the sales team.
Margins Management:
* Track win rates, margins, and quote response times, and suggest improvements based on data.
* Flag unprofitable lanes and customers and propose revised pricing or alternative solutions.
* Build and maintain dashboards or reports for leadership.
Requirements:
Experience:
* 2–5+ years of pricing, carrier procurement, or operations experience in a freight brokerage or 3PL environment.
* Strong understanding of truckload and/or LTL pricing.
Skills:
* Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
* Strong analytical mindset.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Location:
* Must be based in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, or Mexico (or nearby LATAM country with similar time zone).
* Comfortable working remotely and independently.
