System Architect and Engineering Leader
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned system architect and engineering leader to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable backend systems and services.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design and develop architecture for high-performance backend systems and services
* Collaborate with product teams to translate business needs into well-architected technical solutions
* Create architecture and design documentation, estimations, and user stories that support agile delivery
* Ensure system performance, security, reliability, and adherence to SLAs through best engineering practices
* Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a strong culture of ownership, quality, and technical excellence
* Lead and manage globally distributed teams with clear communication and a shared technical vision
* Drive cross-functional efforts and contribute to shaping high-quality, maintainable codebases
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong experience designing and maintaining Microservices architecture and distributed systems
* 2+ years of hands-on experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux)
* Proven ability to build, enhance, debug, and tune backend applications in high-throughput, low-latency environments
* Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, including services like Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, and CDK
* Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform)
* Solid understanding of secure coding practices, authentication flows, and encryption fundamentals
