Amazon is looking for an experienced and driven Marketplace Team Lead to recruit sellers in the new Amazon marketplace in Brazil. The role involves developing relationships with medium and large sellers and manufacturers, prospecting, qualifying, and closing high-potential sellers to ensure key selection, competitive pricing, and availability. The successful candidate will also assist sellers in launching on Amazon by mastering catalogue, pricing, and other tools.
The Team Lead will be responsible for driving projects, setting team processes, and advocating for their category—aiming to build a world-class discovery and purchase experience, expand selection, and shape long-term strategic initiatives. They will collaborate with various stakeholders across Amazon locally and internationally.
Responsibilities Include
1. Setting selection strategy and managing seller recruitment teams.
2. Prioritizing and managing a pipeline of sellers to meet/exceed targets.
3. Educating new merchants about Amazon’s standards of delivery and customer experience.
4. Identifying and acquiring sellers/manufacturers that enhance the category's selection and brands.
5. Driving innovation to improve customer experience, scale categories, and strengthen seller relationships.
6. Providing business insights and advice to help sellers succeed on Amazon.
7. Working cross-functionally with teams in Technology, Operations, and Merchant Services to establish and optimize processes.
Basic Qualifications
* BA/BS degree required.
* Excellent business discernment with strong communication skills in English and Portuguese.
* Minimum of 6 years in buying, account management, or product management.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to influence inside and outside the organization.
* Proven ability to handle multiple projects with prioritization and delegation.
* Ownership mindset with a results-driven approach.
* Willingness to be hands-on.
* Self-motivated and autonomous.
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA degree preferred.
* Experience in e-commerce categories.
* Proficiency with relevant systems and tools.
