DUAL REPORT
Job Purpose
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for conducting testing and inspections of materials, components, and assemblies using tools and methods appropriate to the product specifications and customer requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

QUALITY
Familiar with the Company’s Quality policies, processes, and procedures and actively contributes to the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Quality Management System.

OPERATIONS
Inspects parts in-process, finished products, and purchased materials ensuring work is accomplished per established inspection procedures.
Measures dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other defects.
Identifies information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
Ensures instruments and gauges are in good condition and properly calibrated.
Prepares and maintains records and documentation of inspection acceptance, rejection, and re‑work requirements.
Verifies that applicable drawings and specifications are the current revision prior to use.
Conducts piece‑part inspection including dimensional, visual, non‑destructive testing and hardness testing as required.
Conducts receiving inspection including dimensional, visual, non‑destructive testing and hardness testing as required.
Reviews material test certificates during receiving inspection.
Maintains and updates calibration database for calibrating equipment.
Coordinates outsource/in‑house equipment due for calibration.
Reads work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or material requirements.
Raises, updates, and ensures follow‑up of NCR/CPAR related to the products or services.
Prepares documentation of the inspection process, including detailed reports and performance records.
Applies systematic problem‑solving methodologies to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality issues.
Performs thread inspection to API 5CT, 7‑1 and other premium connections (VAM, Tenaris, JFE, etc.).
COMMUNICATION
Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders, both internally and, where appropriate, externally.
Communicates inspection results and defects to supervisors.
FINANCIAL

Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames, and follow relevant financial policy and procedure.

Experience & Education
Required
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Trade Certificate.
3‑5 years minimum experience in oil & gas products inspection.
Preferred
Certified ASNT (American Society for Non‑Destructive Testing) Level‑2 with at least 2 NDE methods (LPT & MPT).
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office at a minimum.
Communicates effectively verbally and in writing to appropriate audiences.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Uses standard measuring equipment.
Interprets quality control specifications and schematics or drawings.
Identifies problems and solves them systematically with employees and management.
Has proven history of understanding industry safety standards and quality expectations.
Detail‑oriented.
Basic math skills.
