Our company seeks a seasoned data engineer to develop and lead the delivery of cutting-edge data integration and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in database performance tuning and data integrator software, combined with strong leadership and communication skills. In this role, you will oversee technical decision-making, mentor team members, and collaborate with database administrators and business stakeholders to deliver high-performance data solutions.
* Optimize query and database performance to meet strict service-level agreements (SLAs).
* Analyze execution plans and recommend indexing, partitioning, and optimization strategies.
* Partner with DBAs to validate and implement tuning recommendations.
* Oversee ETL/ELT workflows, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and data quality.
* Leverage cloud services for ingestion, transformation, and storage.
* Lead and mentor the team, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
* Translate technical decisions into clear explanations for both technical and business stakeholders.
* 7+ years of experience in data engineering within enterprise-scale environments.
* Expertise in database performance tuning, including query optimization, execution plans, indexes, partitioning, and parallelism.
* Hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
* Expertise in data integrator software.
* Experience in data warehouse design, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
* Proven leadership experience, including team mentoring and technical guidance.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with DBAs, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
* Fluent in English.
